Saravah is not a historical film about Brazilian Music; it is THE historic film, made by French man Pierre Barouh in the 60’s, featuring those who were to become some of the most important artists in Brazilian Music of the second half of the 20th Century.
Saravah is not a director’s film, for 26-years old Pierre Barouh (at the time of the shooting) had very little experience but his huge talent as a conscious witness of musical history and a perfect figure of identification for us, spectators, to the point of leaving us with the impression that WE actually shared those moments with living legends like Pixinguinha, Paulinho da Viola, Maria Bethania and Baden Powell…
