Curved whitewood stick from Burkina Faso

The special feature of this stick is that it is perfectly suitable to play the kassunke slung under one’s shoulder. Its shape allows easier open strokes (the stick bounces on the drumhead) and flat strokes (the stick is maintained on the head after the stroke).
It is used with kenkeni and sangbang alike.
