The Music Therapy Project of Djoliba Music Lab

Music therapy is a interdisciplinary practice from clinical psychology that brings together the therapeutic and musical scope. This practice is a psychotherapy form mediated by music and more widely by sound.

The music therapy measures are intended for any person manifesting a mental, physical suffering or a handicap, whatever his age or even his culture.

Its objective is to alleviate the mental suffering of individuals by soliciting at once cognitive functions (memory, perception, information processing), creativity, emotion, and also promotes social links creation.

Djoliba team in collaboration with Kairo Association and Fabien Sorabella (clinical psychologist, music therapist and lecturer at the University Toulouse Jean Jaurès) offers you a project that revolves around two workshops and a training complete in music therapy:

 - Discovery workshop of the "instrumentarium"

This term includes all the instruments used in the practice of music therapy (receptive or active approach). We will explore the specificities of many instruments such as Spacedrum, Zenko, Titaniumsound® sound structures ... in order to identify possible applications in the field of music therapy practice.

Our pedagogical approach will be divided between presentation of instruments and practice of psychomusical methods (in individual and group situations).

The instrumentarium discovery workshop is for students in music therapy, psychology, schools of educators, music therapists confirmed or anyone interested in this discipline.

The duration of the workshop is fixed at 3 hours and the number of places is limited to 8 people.

Cost of the workshop:

50 € as individual enrolment.

100 € for employees or professionals in the Formation Professionnelle ou Continue (paid by your CPF).

- Music therapy awareness workshop

Many practitioners of psychic care or not question the practice of music therapy: "What is it? How is it practiced? Can I engage in long-term training? "

The main objective of this workshop is to answer these questions while approaching the techniques and methods of the music therapy measures, the fundamental approaches (receptive, active and creative), as well as the theoretical and clinical aspects inherent to this discipline. The educational content presented is illustrated by practice exercises (in dual and collective situations) and allows participants to acquire skills and knowledge related to this discipline. During the awareness workshop, we provide for you all the necessary musical instruments used in the context of music therapy practice.

The duration of the workshop is fixed at 3 hours and the number of places is limited to 8 people.

- Theorico-clinical courses in music therapy

5 independent training modules are offered. Their educational content link together theoretical contributions, practical scenarios and clinical illustrations drawn from the speaker's experience. These modules are thematized and take into account, above all, the reality of the field. The courses are aimed at anyone interested in music therapy or practicing in the medico-socio-psychological field (musicians, educators, nurses, psychologists ...); they aim to enable participants to set up a music therapy device adapted to individual or group situations. Our apprehension of music therapy is informed by transcultural, psychopathological and clinical approaches. That is why, the lessons are ensured by a psychologist and music therapist practicing within various institutions (IME, CADA, EHPAD, MDS ...), as well as in liberal cabinet.

La durée de chaque module est fixée à 12 heures ( 2 x 6 heures) réparties sur deux jours (le dimanche et le lundi). The duration of each module is fixed at 12 hours (2 x 6 hours) divided up on 2 days (Sundays and Mondays).

For each module, the number of places is limited to 8 people.

Cost of a module :

240 € individual enrolment.

180€ for students and job seekers.

The enrolments are available for one or several modules as they are independent. It is therefore possible to combine them according to your objectives.

NB: At the end of your participation in music therapy workshops and training courses, a certificate of competence will be given to you in order to valorize your acquired with the institutions or any place of practice musicotherapie.
