Hmong jew’s harps are made in North Vietnam; they have been played in traditional music for many years.
It consists of a strip of brass in which a thin central blade has been partially cut to produce the appropriate vibration. Its making process is a precise, delicate one that demands experienced craftsmanship.
The instrument is held gently against the player's lips while his/her other hand plucks the tip of the reed back and forth in a soft movement. Yet we recommend to use mainly forward strokes.
The sound of a Vietnamese jew’s harp is very bright. A pretty accessible instrument to beginners, it will also give full satisfaction to advanced musicians who seek for high quality instruments.

This Jew's harp is a marvel! A clear and sparkling sound, the notes are very joyful, the ease of playing is incredible. I tried several before buying the 3 H'Mong from Djoliba and I am not disappointed, they are all super easy to play. I love it! THANK YOU Djoliba (Translated review)
Purchase and shipping impeccable. (Translated review)
The only drawback is that the slat tends to shift with use, but that doesn't prevent you from playing it. (Translated review)
Fast and careful delivery, beautiful instrument that sounds great. Perfect! (Translated review)
