The Kayamb, also known as Cayambe, Cayombe or Maravanne, is a typical instrument of Reunion Island, Mauritius and Rodrigues Island (Mascareignes), as well as Madagascar. It accompanies the Maloya and the Sega, the two dominant styles of these islands (LA Réunion and Mauritius) of the Indian Ocean influenced by both Africa and Asia.
The Kayamb is formed of reed stalks tightened by a wooden frame and one finds inside the seeds of cascavelle or of conflore. The chaotic movement of the Caïambe player produces a sound similar to that of a wave.
This Caïambe, handcrafted, with best quality.

The kayamb arrived quickly to destination, it is in perfect conditions, it plays great, and it is light weighted too so great for travelling. (Translated review)
