Originally Cajón was created in Latin America (more precisely Perú) by slaves from very common objects they had to handle during their workday, hence its name "cajón", which means large crate or box. It was introduced into Europe by Spanish musicians as a rhythmical accompaniment instrument to Flamenco music.
Although Schlagwerk Cajones can easily stand comparison with Cajones made by the best Sapnish or Peruvian traditional craftsmen, their prices remain quite affordable.
The present model is Schlagwerk's latest achievement: excellent value for the cost, flawless finishing and, as usual, brilliant sound quality, from deep bass tones to sharp high tones.
