Wooden claves made in Caraib's country by an experienced manufacturer , these claves has a louder though lower-pitched sound ... than traditional  claves. Its large, hollowed “hembra” (“female” stick) is struck by a smaller, solid “macho” (“male”, striking piece).

Its integrated resonator makes its full sound easier to obtain than with plain, traditional claves.
