Bullroarer carved, hand made. This model has a slighlty curved nose for a better rotation.

This instrument is one of the oldest, maybe the oldest, of all the music history. It comes essentially from Australia where the Aboriginals used it with the Yidaki (didgeridoo) for the men's initiation ceremonies, and the sound they produce is considered in some indigenous cultures to represent the sound of the Rainbow Serpent.

To use the bullroarer hold the buckle, spin the rope and make the bullroarer turning beside or over you in a circle path. Be carefull to stand away from objects or persons ! This sound is coming from the ancestral times...
