The Riq is a type of tambourine equipped with jingles, played with both hands throughout Arabic-speaking countries either in classical or folk ensembles. Generally adjustable, its head can be of fish skin, goat skin or synthetic material.

Reliable and quite affordable, the standard Riq has a goatskin head and is particularly suitable for beginners.
