Semi-professional Zils (finger cymbals)
Zils are tiny cymbals used in belly dancing and similar performances in India. They are similar to Tibetan tingsha bells. They are most commonly played in a variety of Eastern musical traditions.
Usually made of brass, they require a strip of rubber (elastic) to "handle" them between the thumb and the middle finger of each hand. Experienced performers obtain a whole variety of sounds, depending on the way the cymbals are struck against one another.
This model is suitable for all kinds of players, including professional performers.
