These frame drums, designed by Schlagwerk, produce an amazingly nice sound. Bass tones have a soft, pleasant sustain while rimshots come out sharp. It allows rich vriations in pitch by changing the natural skin's tension, applying variable finger pressure on it.

These models have a mechanical tension device which prevents undesired changes in pitch, due to temperature or humidity.
