A rainstick is an idiophone that consists of a dried, hollowed out stick of bamboo, filled with shell fragments and sand. By swinging it gently, the player can reproduce the sound of a wave dying on a shore or other fluid sounds (running water). So here's a raining stick of 47"1/4 high, made out of bamboo et entirely sarong covered and varnished.
