These claves consist of a pair of hard, dense-wood sticks, played by striking one against the other. Its patterns are an essential ingredient of any  rhythmic accompaniment. It produces a distinctive, loud, bright, clicking sound.
The “weak” hand (the one that does not strike) must hold the stick in a such a way that a small, resonant cavity is formed by the palm.

Our present model is made in Caraib's country from pomegranate-tree wood and produces a beautiful, pure sound.
