Dununs Set (kenkeni, sangbang, dunun) + 3 Sticks.
Set of 3 drums to accompany your djembe lessons, dances, concerts, .... Excellent value for money, beautiful finish, and professional quality assembly.
African drums with two skins (bi-membranophone) in Mahogani. Made by Roots Percussions, this set of dununs is perfect for African percussion workshops or professional use.
Two-skin percussion instruments created during the ancient Mandingo empire (Guinea, Eastern Mali, Western Burkina Faso, Northern Ivory Coast). Emblematic two-skin drums found in the musical cultures of West Africa. They generally accompany other drums such as the djembe drum or the djabara, among others for African dances.
Essential for creating the polyrhythms so particular to West Africa, these African drums are also played independently with bells (dunun bells). There is a family of 3 drums and several sizes of bells.
Their name depends on their size. The "kenken" (kenkensereni, or kenkeni) is the high-pitched drum, the "sangbang" is the medium drum, and the "dunun" (doundounba, dounounba or dununba) is the low-pitched drum.
