A Quena (sometimes written kena or khena) is a straight, Andean flute that appeared in the 16th Century in Latin America. It was elaborated as a combination of various kinds of earlier flutes.
Quenas exist in a number of different forms; our model is a notch quena.
Combining recorder and flute techniques, it results in a very subtle sound.
The present model has 6 holes, is made of mahogany wood and boasts excellent finishing.

Good instrument It is necessary to work a little the position of the mouthpiece to obtain a correct sound (Translated review)
Good instrument, delivered quickly, about right, the quena is not very precise, it is necessary to raise or lower according to the notes, with the mouth. I'm happy with this purchase and will play on Saturday October 29th at the Café de la Danse in Paris! Thanks a lot! (Translated review)
Very good for beginners I recommend François (Translated review)

Even more beautiful in reality than on the picture. Very nice wood and the finishes are well done. (Translated review)
Excellent (Translated review)
4 stars only, perfect product but for me too difficult to master, I don't know if it's me or the flute itself, but the notes are really too hard to keep without a moment of false sound .... or the material used. For this price it's good but it would be better for beginners or children but not for amateurs or professionals, it's only my personal opinion. Otherwise 5/5 for the seriousness of the store, the seller and the fast delivery. Thanks to you. (Translated review)
I am very satisfied (Translated review)
OK. (Translated review)
A very bad flute. Almost unplayable in the 3rd octave. Wooden quenas always require more breath than bamboo ones, but this one is a mess. To be avoided. (Translated review)
