Standard Darbuka / “Goblet drum”
Darbuka is a goblet-shaped hand membraphone, with a single skin and a short, dry, piercing sound. Traditionally made of cast, its goat- or fish skin head is often glued to the shell rim. Its is tuned with heat (from a fire or by hand friction)
Nowadays, a darbuka can be made of cast iron, aluminium or ceramique with a natural or plastic head fixed to the instrument shell with screws that also allow the instrument's tuning.

Ideal for beginning and intermediate learners, this pretty inexpensive model boasts a wide range of tones and will give anyone access to the full technical scope of the instrument and that of oriental percussion.
NB : This (grey or brown) model is delivered with a basic cover as well as a spare drumhead and a tuning spanner.
