In this third volume, Boissière leads further its study of conga playing and its connections with drum-set playing in Latin music environment.
The section dedicated to conga is based on a progressive method. First step: practicing each classic pattern separately; second step: incorporating a variation in each rhythm; third step: moving from one pattern onto another, and another; then incorporating corresponding variations

The book also tackles correspondence and interaction between congas- and drum-set parts. It should be used as a preparation tool for orchestral performance.
The CD includes a large number of rhythms analysed in the book and provides convenient playback tracks to practice on.

This work is characteristic of the rigour its author acquired during his many years as a student in one of the celebrated "Dante Agostini" drum school.
