A tutor DVD directed by Phillipe Nasse and Nicolas Girardin, "Le Djembé d'Inza Diabaté" introduces 6 traditional polyrhythms including two Djembe parts and one Dunun part, as well as a documentary.

This work is the first of an excellent series called "Le Salon de Musique". It has an overall duration of 54 minutes and comes with a booklet which not only sums up all the rhythms studied in the DVD, but also gives plenty of technical advice and practical tips (playing positions, assembly and tuning techniques).

Aimed at beginners and intermediate players, the Burkinabe's approach is tackled in simple, efficient terms.

Inzia Diabate's work is an interesting one, that shall usefully complement other tutors and learning material dedicated to Djembe.
